BCMAG's AGM.

28th January 2002

Words by Steve, pictures by Steve and Big Steve.

Most of the AGM was spent electing (i.e. press-ganging) a management team to spread the workload and encourage more involvement from members. Previously, we had degenerated into not much more than a drinking/arguing club - we now intend to get involved with MAG events and issues, at local, regional and national levels. The balance can be struck between useful work and enjoying ourselves.

This AGM had a good turnout from members, and was generally very positive. Expect great things from BCMAG in the future.

Thanks to Eddie Lowe (Regional Rep) for attending as Regional Observer, as well as chairing the meeting. Also to Steve Gannon (Regional Treasurer), who attended to heckle everyone else!

Next BCMAG AGM:

Provisionally set for Monday 27th January 2003 - date and venue will be confirmed at a later date

Introducing your all-new Management Team....

BCMAG Rep - Nigel "Sorry I'm Late" Carter

Responsibilities:

Looking pretty, turning up half an hour late for everything, being ultimately responsible for everything!

Deputy Rep - Mick/Mike "Judas" Norris

Responsibilities:

Running meetings when Carter's late, Hatchet Man.

Liaison Officer - Dave "Mad One" Madden

Responsibilities:

Blagging.

left a more familiar view Treasurer - Simon "Look at my arse" Green

Responsibilities:

Bean-counter and Button-sorter.
This could be a problem - Simon's from Malvern, so doesn't have the conventional number of fingers and toes!

left Website Manager - Me

Responsibilities:

Hand-crafting this beautiful website, protecting my brain from microwaves.

left Political Officer - we're still looking!

Responsibilities:

Doing all that other stuff, like tracking campaigns or writing letters.

Get in touch if you're interested.
