8-) need an alarm for the bike but dont want one of those crappy bleeps every 3minutes all singing all dancing jobbys. just one with a live and negative and maybe a tilt sensor. i just wanna arm it and then it goes of if it gets knocked etc. preferabley a solar-alarm. ride safe

If you're up to a bit of soldering, you could make one yourself using this:

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=37761&criteria=alarm&doy=11m10

It's a motion sensitive switch that you connect between the bike's battery & horn. You would also need to add a hidden switch (or maybe a keyswitch) to turn it off.

If you've got a parking light position on your ignition switch, you could disable the parking light (remove the bulb - don't think this is an MOT issue) and use that circuit to power this alarm - the alarm would then be active whenever the ignition switch was set to parking lights.

If the wiring loom melts and burns the bike to the ground, don't blame me!
