MC North Wales Event, this Sunday
09.09.2009 at 11:51:30
Deb found some more info about this last night, reproduced here for anyone who's interested.
The MCN are running a 'Reclaim North Wales for Bikers' ride-out on September 13th from the Ponderosa Cafe, Horseshoe Pass at 12 noon and Dragons Rest Cafe, Caerwys, junction 31 on the A55. Then meeting at the Swallow Falls Hotel, Holyhead Road, Betws-y-Coed at 4pm. The route you take from the venues at 12 noon is up to you. They're trying to get as many bikes to go to show the lovely people of the North Wales Police Force that we don't need to be stopped en mass to be given leaflets on how to ride and for them to check number plates etc. Please show your support and pass this on.
It's about time bikers had a say...
If that's not enough to get you going then just give this a thought...
The police Deputy Chief Constable Clive Wolfendale has proposed to ban motorcycles from the National Park areas, which if he wins will lead to bikes being banned from North Wales roads - a bit limiting if you're trying to get to the Holyhead ferry!
PLEASE be legal and stick to the limits, it's only for one day so as your mum used to say... "behave yourself" Smile
