We had a brilliant day, and met up with old friends, as well as making some new ones. Smiley
The welcome and support we got at the start, and along the route, was as touching as that two weeks ago at Wootton Bassett (if on a smaller scale). Smiley Smiley
One point I did notice - both on ITV news Sunday teatime, and in the Express and Star tonight - the reports said that bikers brought Easter Eggs; neither of them mentioned that every person there also contributed at least 5, in addition to eggs and/or soft toys. Many also bought T shirts promoting the ride and little fluffy birds to tie to their bikes (I still say they are ducks, not chickens!) and all that money went directly to the RAFA.
One other point - the newspaper report says 3000 bikes turned up. Did not count them myself, but I can believe it - and they all moved off the car park, filtering down to a double line on the road, without anyone directing them, without any angry gestures or accidents of any kind! Would 3,000 cars have managed it in such a friendly atmosphere?

Chocolate cures most things .... a bike ride sorts the rest.
